The North Central Division is proud home to some of the country’s best Super Stock and Stock racers and racing and the two categories will be showcased at two upcoming events in the Division including the 6th B’Laster Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser at Summit Motorsports Park, May 18-20 and the 26th annual NHRA SportsNATIONAL OPEN at Beech Bend Raceway Park, May 26 & 27.  Plus the tracks have put up a double-up bonus.

Back by fan response the two categories of true factory muscle cars and hot rods will be featured in a bonus qualifying round Friday night (May 18) of the largest NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in the country at Summit Motorsports Park.  Bonus cash was paid to the quickest and fastest performances plus a panel of fans judged racers on best wheel stands and picked fan favorites.  Key Bank will be sponsoring this year’s program with $100 awarded to Best Wheelstand, Longest Wheelstand, Quickest Run, Fastest Run, Low Qualifying Run and Fan Favorite in each eliminator.

The following weekend at Beech Bend Raceway Park NitroPlate will once again sponsor a $5,000 to win Super Stock / Stock combo race on Saturday evening as part of the 26^th annual Memorial Day-weekend event.  Ryan Haag wheeled his Super Stock Camaro into the winner’s circle with a final round win over Kenny Bomar’s A/Stock last year to pocket the $5,000.

As an added bonus this year Dallas Jones and Bill Bader, Jr. operators of the two facilities have posted a $1,000 Bonus in Super Stock and Stock eliminator to any racer who wins both the 6^th Annual B’Laster Cavalcade of Stars, May 20, 2012 at Summit Motorsports Park and the 26^th annual NHRA SportsNATIONAL OPEN, May 27, 2012 at Beech Bend Raceway Park.
