2024 OAKLEY MOTORSPORTS SUPER QUICK CONTESTANT INFORMATION

Welcome to the NHRA North Central Division Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series. All events are contested on the eighth-mile with the 2024 series culminating with the crowning of the NHRA Oakley Motorsports Super Quick North Central Division Champion. Please read the following information carefully and if you have any questions feel free to ask a member of the NHRA staff.

1.       NHRA MEMBERSHIP:  All contestants in the Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series must be a current member of NHRA; membership forms are available in the tech area at each event or the www.nhradiv3.com or from the division office.

2.       LICENSE/COMPETITION NUMBERS:  All Super Quick contestants must have a current NHRA Level 6A, 6B, 4A, 4B, 3A or 3B license for the body-style driven and an NHRA ET competition number which must be properly displayed on the entry.

3.       TECHNICAL INFORMATION:  The standard NHRA eliminator system will apply at all Oakley Motorsports Super Quick events. All technical information applying to Super Quick may be found under the ET Section and the General Regulations Section of the 2024 NHRA Rulebook. Delay boxes permitted. All entries are required to have a valid chassis certification sticker affixed to the frame before participating. All contestants must display the NHRA decal as provided by NHRA. All vehicles are required to utilize an NHRA-accepted lower engine oil-retention device. (effective 1/1/2009)

4.       QUALIFYING RUNS:  Check event schedule for times of each designated qualifying session. Refer to your run card or run order for lane assignments as indicated on Run 1 and Run 2 for the two qualifying sessions. Qualifying runs quicker than 4.500-seconds will be placed on the bottom of the qualifying list (i.e. - 4.555, 4.911, 5.480, 5.999, 4.499, 4.498, etc.) If there is a qualifying tie to the thousandth, the first racer posting the time will take the precedent.

5.       ELIMINATION PAIRINGS:  Super Quick eliminator will be a qualified 32 car field for entrants 4.500-seconds or slower. Pairings will be according to a standard NHRA sportsman ladder. The insertion of alternates is as follows: the first alternate will assume the open position to race the slowest qualified car; the second alternate will race the next slowest car, and so on until the ladder is complete or all alternates have been used.

6.       DIAL-INS:  Super Quick qualifiers may change dial-ins between rounds. Contestants may dial quicker than their qualifying time, but not slower than two-tenth (.20) off their best qualifying runMinimum dial-in 4.50, maximum dial-in 5.99. Each driver is responsible for placing their dial-in on the car in such a manner to be clearly visible from the control tower.

7.       LANE CHOICE:  Lane choice for the first round will be determined by the low ET qualifiers having lane choice. Lane choice for all remaining rounds will be determined by the driver with the best reaction time in the previous round. Should both drivers have identical reaction times lane choice will go to the lower qualified driver in the field.

8.       NON-QUALIFIERS and FIRST ROUND KNOCKOUTS in Super Quick may enter Super Pro ET at no additional entry fee.

POINTS:  Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series and NHRA decals MUST be displayed to be eligible for Oakley Motorsports Super Quick points which will be awarded as follows: 10 points to non-qualifiers. Alternates inserted into the field will receive points earned less 30 points that will be awarded to the original qualified entry being replaced by the alternate.
