Milan Dragway presented Award of Excellence awards to three racers, who excelled at the 2016 North Central Division NHRA Summit Racing Series finals, along with its track champions at its annual awards banquet held at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate, Mich.
The track had two-Division 3 Champions Tim Buckley in Super Pro and Marlon Howes in Sportsman, both competed in the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championships in Pomona, Calif. Track champion and NHRA Sunoco Race of Champions Super Pro Motorcycle winner Joe Novak Sr. helped lead the Milan Dragway team to a fifth place finish, in one of the closest point battles in the 40-year history of the event.
Howes was also named the Milan Dragway 2016 Driver of the Year.
