NHRA makes its Return Back into Michigan with Massive Doubleheader at US 131 Motorsports Park

The wait is finally over—NHRA is back in Michigan, and it’s bringing one of the most exciting sportsman racing events of the season with it.


US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin will play host to a thrilling National Open and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Doubleheader, giving racers two chances to take home the prestigious 75th Anniversary Diamond Wally trophies that’s drawing competitors from across the country.


A Full Week of on Track Time

The event kicks off Tuesday with Test & Tune sessions, giving racers time to dial in their setups before competition begins.

From there, the schedule is stacked:


  • Wednesday & Thursday: National Open competition

  • Friday through Sunday: Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Divisional


With two grade point events in one weekend, racers have more at stake and more to gain than ever before.

After two qualifying sessions set the field, round one runs during the third session, with a bonus final round to decide the champion.
