2025 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series Rules 

Welcome to the NHRA North Central Division Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series. All events are contested on the eighth-mile with the 2025 series culminating with the crowning of the NHRA Oakley Motorsports Super Quick North Central Division Champion. Please read the following information carefully and if you have any questions feel free to ask a member of the NHRA staff.

RACE FORMAT: 48 car qualified field 4.40 to 4.59.  Anyone going 4.399 or quicker will go to the bottom of the sheet.  No one can dial slower than 4.59 for eliminations.

  
LICENSE AND MEMBERSHIP: All Super Quick contestants must have a current NHRA Level 6A, 6B, 4A, 4B, 3A or 3B license for the body-style driven and NHRA competition number which must be properly displayed on the entry.


TECHNICAL INFORMATION: The standard NHRA eliminator system will be applied at all Oakley Motorsports Super Quick events. All technical information applying to Super Quick may be found under the ET Section and the General Regulations Section of the 2025 NHRA Rulebook.  Anyone going quicker than 4.500 will require an appropriate license.  If you are dialed 4.40/4.50 and go 4.39/4.49 or quicker in eliminations breakout rules will apply.   Delay boxes permitted. All entries are required to have a valid chassis certification sticker affixed to the frame before participating. All contestants must display the NHRA decal and Oakley Motorsports decals as provided by the NHRA.  Decals MUST be displayed.  In the event decals are NOT shown on both sides of vehicle no points will be awarded for the event, or any other additional programs associated with the Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series.   All vehicles are required to utilize an NHRA-accepted lower engine oil-retention device.


QUALIFYING RUNS: Event schedule will display times for designated qualifying session. Refer to your run card or run order for lane assignments as indicated on Run 1 and Run 2 for the two qualifying sessions.  48 car qualified field 4.40 to 4.59.  Drivers running 4.399 or quicker will go to the bottom of the qualifying sheet.  Drivers that are limited due to licensing restrictions that run 4.499 or quicker will go to the bottom of the qualifying sheet also.  These times will be based on the closest to 4.399 and 4.499 with speed being used as a tie breaker if needed.  No one can dial slower than 4.59 for eliminations.  If there is a qualifying tie to the thousandth, in the event of identical e.t.’s, the racer with the highest MPH earns the position.


ELIMINATION PAIRINGS: Oakley Motorsports Super Quick eliminator will be a qualified 48 car field for entrants 4.40-4.59. Pairings will be according to a standard NHRA sportsman ladder. The insertion of alternates is as follows: the first alternate will assume the open position to race the slowest qualified car; the second alternate will race the next slowest car, and so on until the ladder is complete or all alternates have been used.

 
DIAL-INS: Oakley Motorsports Super Quick qualifiers may change dial-ins between rounds. Contestants may dial quicker than their qualifying time. Minimum dial-in 4.40, maximum dial-in 4.59. Each driver is responsible for placing their dial-in on the car in such a manner to be clearly visible from the control tower.


LANE CHOICE: Lane Choice will be decided by the driver with the better qualifying position earns first-round lane choice, and in subsequent rounds, lane choice goes to the racer with the lowest e.t. from the previous round. Runs under 4.40 or 4.50 (without proper license and or safety equipment) are not eligible for lane choice unless both drivers went quicker than 4.40/4.50 in the previous round – whereas the driver running closest to 4.40/4.50 would earn lane choice.  In the event of identical e.t.’s, the racer with the highest MPH earns choice.


NON-QUALIFIERS in Oakley Motorsports Super Quick may enter Super Pro with no additional entry fee.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


DIVISION CHAMPION: The 2025 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Champion will earn $2,000 cash courtesy of Oakley Motorsports Competition Engines, an NHRA champion’s trophy, jacket and an NHRA Gold Card good for the 2026 Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series.  The point’s runner-up will receive $1,000 and the third-place finisher will receive $500. Top Five Points Earners will receive Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series Coats.  All year-end awards will be presented at the annual Division III "Land of the Winners" Awards Banquet.
 

POINTS: Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series and NHRA decals MUST be displayed to be eligible for Oakley Motorsports Super Quick points which will be awarded as follows: 10 points to non-qualifiers.  Alternates inserted into the field will receive points earned less the 20 points earned by the original qualifier.​​

There will be NO POINTS WAIVERS in the Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series.  Competitors will drop  2 of their lowest scored events during the season.  

 
CHAMPIONSHIP TIE-BREAKER PROCEDURES: If a tie exists (for any position) at the end of the NHRA Oakley Motorsports Super Quick Series, it shall be resolved as follows: 


1.    Driver with most points won at their nine (9) best races wins tie
2.    Driver with most points won at their ten (10) best races wins tie
3.    Apply tiebreaker points from scored races as follows: winner 5 points; runner-up 3; semi-finalist 2; quarterfinalist 1. Driver with most points wins tie
4.    Best points finish at final series race wins tie.  If still tied race before final race best points finish wins tie.  If still tied second race before final race wins tie, etc.
5.    Scored events average final qualifying E.T. wins tie breaker
6.    Should a tie still exist after following above tie-breaker, Co-Champions will be named.
